Once again AQG will be holding an Encore presentation with our award winning quilts at the Rusty Barn Westword show on September 3-5, 2026.

This year, as a special addition, AQG is offering booth space to chapters who wish to raise money by raffling off an opportunity quilt or by selling handmade items in a chapter boutique.

All proceeds from the opportunity quilt raffle or the boutique will go to the chapter and there is no fee to chapters who would like to participate. Booth volunteers will be granted free entry to the Rusty Barn show

If you are willing to help man the boutique booth on either the 3rd, 4th, or 5th of September sign up here. Once we determine if we have enough volunteers more information will be available. If we don't have enough interest by signing up for the event we will not be able to have the botique.

Charity Quilt Supply Organization Days

This past winter, our group successfully sewed many charity quilts, and as a result, our fabric supplies are now in need of reorganization. To prepare for future projects, we are seeking volunteers to assist with several important tasks. These include measuring yardage, sorting fabric by size, and cutting kits.

Event Details

With our cook returning to Iowa for the summer, participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch.

Feel free to drop in and out as your schedule permits, but please register so we know you are coming!

We will be making a large 13.5 H, 16.5W, 6.5 D tote bag with inside pockets. It is mostly straight piecing, with easy zippers. This size tote is great for weekend getaways and sewing retreats. The wide opening makes it easy to pack and access your goodies, while the pockets keep things organized. Over the shoulder handles provide comfortable carrying and the durable bottom allows for heavy loads.

The pattern will be included and there will be prep work at home, all of which will be sent to participants as soon as possible.
