Last year as President, I challenged our members to make a Quilt of Valor to be completed by September 2025.  Participants must sign up for the Event at - QOV - Sign Up .  Entry is restricted to members of Desert Threads.   Members will be voting to decide which quilt  will be displayed at the 2026 AQG Quilt show as an entry representing Desert Threads.

Members, once you have signed up and completed your quilt, send a photo to ITAdmin@desertthreads.org.    Pictures of the quilts will be displayed on this page as soon as the picture is submitted.  They will not have the owner's name - only a number used for voting.  Voting will start on October 1 and end on October 7.  The poll for voting will be displayed on this page and an email with a link will be sent to members on October 1 when voting opens.  The winner does not have to be at the October meeting to win (for those who haven't made it back yet!), but if your quilt wins it will need to be available for the AQG Quilt Show.

All participants  that can should bring their quilt for display to the October 8th  meeting  where the winner will be announced.  We are fortunate to have Tona Jackson,  Arizona State Coordinator for the Quilt of Valor Foundation with us at the meeting.  Tona is not only the State Coordinator but also a member of AQG and the leader of the Daisy Mountain QOV group.

A big THANK YOU to our member - Terry Allen - for volunteering to quilt the quilts at no charge!!
