You are invited to join the Community Service Team for an open sew day, Wednesday Oct 1st . We will be working on pre-cut quilt kits. These quilts once finished will go to “Arizona Quilts for Kids”.

We will meet at the Oakwood Sewing Room starting at 9am and ending no later than 2pm. Bring a lunch, your sewing machine, a neutral-colored thread and your normal sewing notions.

Please register for this so we know how many kits to prepare.

Community Service Sew Day - OSR

The AQG Quilt Show Committee is looking for one or two people to join the Quilt Entry Team.   Kimm Muray wrote “I am looking for someone (or two someones) to take over (a) coordinating the Drop-Off list for 2026 and (b) help run the Returns Event on Saturday of the quilt show.

The Drop-Off work is concentrated in January/February of 2026, and the Returns work is primarily during quilt show week.” 

You may know Diana Jones, Blanca Sanchez, Denise Fanrworth and I have been working the show during the quilt intake and judging period.  I have enjoyed the job and people involved and feel very good about offering my time giving back to AQG.  

If you and a friend are interested in helping out, let me know and I’ll put you in touch or you can reach Kimm Muray, Quilt Show Entry Coordinator, directly.  Her contact information is on the AQG website.

We plan to continue meeting during the summer at 10:00 in the CLC - Cottonwood.  We will be very casual, so bring what you're working on, your show & brags, and get ready for a fun gabby time!
