Last year as President, I challenged our members to make a Quilt of Valor to be completed by September 30, 2025.   Entry was restricted to members of Desert Threads.   Members  voted to decide which quilt  would be in first place and displayed at the 2026 AQG Quilt show as an entry representing Desert Threads.

Third Place - Blanca Sanchez
Honorable Mention -  Judy Schmidt

We had 14 quilts entered.  At the meeting we were fortunate to have Tona Jackson, Arizona State Coordinator for Quilts of Valor.  Seventeen quilts were given to the QoV foundation after the meeting.

A big THANK YOU to our member - Terry Allen - for volunteering to quilt any of the quilts at no charge!!
