  Cartonnage Tissue Box - The Art of Making Fabric Covered Boxes

  No sewing machines, no supplies needed just 2 coordinating fat quarters.  All other supplies will be provided.  There will be a purchase of a Colorways Arts kit purchased through Mad B’s Quilt and Sew.  The kit cost will be $21.95 and the participant will contact Mad B’s and order the kit  #141, for the instructor to bring with her the day of the class.  By ordering through Mad B’s the participant saves shipping costs.

  You will use your kit and glue the fabrics to the precut chipboard and poster board step by step.  You will be guided every step of the way and provided with tips, tricks and handy tools.  You get to use the fabrics you love to create a beautiful tissue box cover and get inspired to do many more of the selection of boxes available as kits.

  Special Guest is Joan Wren who will teach us everything there is to know about stabilizers.  Isn’t this the first question we always ask?  “I am putting a design on a Tshirt, what stabilizer should I use so it doesn’t pucker?”  Well, Joan will answer all of those questions.  In addition, we will do our In The Hoop Project and our Embossed Towel Project.  

  For those of you who don’t want to bring your machines, you can still register and come hear Joan’s presentation and watch as the other projects are created.

  Come and join the fun. CS team will be available to assist any and all. An especially great way for anyone new to quilting to get assistance and complete a project in two days.
